Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our team at Whitsons Culinary Group. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and store incoming supplies, maintaining a clean and organized storage area
  • Follow established break schedules and participate in ware washing duties as assigned
  • Collect and strip trays for dishwashing and assist with cleaning and sanitizing equipment
  • Store and maintain silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, and other kitchen essentials
  • Participate in safety committee meetings and adhere to all Whitsons policies and procedures
  • Attend mandatory in-service programs and maintain certification in food handling
  • Manage POS/Cas handling duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to speak and read English to understand and perform job assignments
  • 1 year of professional food service experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain a positive and professional image
Physical Demands
  • Frequent sitting, walking, talking, and hearing
  • Use of hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls
  • Standing on feet for majority of workday, with occasional walking and reaching
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds, with occasional lifting while turning
  • Close vision and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
  • Primarily works in kitchen and on serving line
  • Standing most of workday, with occasional movement in and out of store room freezers
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures due to cooking and refrigeration equipment
  • Moderate to loud noise level in work area
