Position Overview
Kitchell Corporation is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee a significant project within the Corrections Market Sector. This role involves direct interaction with clients and requires effective management of the General Contractor on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver construction management services for a large-scale prison construction project.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
  • Act as the primary onsite liaison with contractors, monitoring construction progress.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of contractors, subcontractors, engineers, and architects.
  • Manage project controls, including cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
  • Conduct project meetings, providing documentation and tracking essential information.
  • Oversee project logistics, organization, and safety protocols.
  • Facilitate project closeout, ensuring all guarantees and warranties are obtained.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to ensure project success.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture is required.
  • Must possess a Certified Licensed Architect, Certified Professional Engineer, or Licensed Contractor credentials in California.
  • A minimum of 15 years of Project Management experience in Institutional Construction, particularly in Detention Centers or Correctional Facilities, is essential.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Procore, and standard construction industry tools for budgeting and scheduling.
  • Ability to pass a client-issued background check is mandatory.

Preferred Certifications
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential is preferred.

Work Environment
This position requires working in both office and construction settings, with exposure to various environmental conditions.

Physical Requirements
Regular activities include sitting, standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks. Candidates must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
