Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate hemodialysis machines, ensuring accurate and timely treatment.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Support the organization's commitment to the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide patient-specific education and support.
- Perform and record pre- and post-treatment vital signs, weight, and vascular access evaluations.
- Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders, monitoring patients' response to therapy.
- Document accurate and timely information regarding treatment parameters and patient status.
- Participate in process improvement activities to enhance patient satisfaction and quality outcomes.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Meet Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
- Appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required.
- Demonstrated commitment to organization culture, values, and customer service standards.
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility.
- Successful completion of the organization's dialysis training program and CPR certification.
The work environment is characteristic of a healthcare facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials. The position requires frequent, prolonged periods of standing and the ability to lift and move patients and equipment.
