Job Description:

The Contracting Officer Specialist will serve as a key member of the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) Contracts Directorate. This role involves providing expert guidance on all contracts related matters, ensuring compliance with Federal and Defense Acquisition regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Serving as the technical expert in contract-related matters
  • Maintaining high levels of experience and proficiency in Federal and Defense Acquisition regulations
  • Providing business advice to customers, including Program Managers, Program Executive Officers, and NAVWAR leadership
  • Researching, interpreting, analyzing, and applying Federal DoD, Department of the Navy guidelines, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and its supplements
  • Performing pre-award and post-award functions using the full spectrum of available FAR and non-FAR contract strategies
