We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Senior Financial Analyst, a pivotal member of our finance team. This position entails the preparation of intricate monthly evaluations of accounts receivable, contractual adjustments, and bad debt write-offs for the organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will also oversee the daily reconciliation of the hospital's financial systems. This role requires sound judgment and discretion in generating specialized financial analyses for the accounting director and management as needed, along with the leadership capabilities to temporarily assume the responsibilities of the department director when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Download and analyze monthly revenue and accounts receivable reports to calculate contractual allowances.
- Prepare bi-weekly Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) and productivity reports, as well as monthly financial reports for the leadership team utilizing HBI technology.
- Conduct daily general ledger reconciliations and provide accounts receivable posting information to finance leadership and administration. Maintain the interface table from STAR to the general ledger.
- Assist in the analysis of monthly financial statements.
- Prepare essential reconciliation schedules for the annual financial statement audit.
- Perform detailed financial and payroll data analysis to support performance improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Coordinate the annual worker's compensation audit.
- Fulfill the responsibilities of the Decision Support Manager as needed during absences.
- Exhibit advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and general accounting software, along with strong typing and data entry capabilities.
- Demonstrate the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, management, and clients, assisting in training hospital leaders on effective financial report utilization.
- Display effective time management, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Analyze issues, compile data, ascertain facts, and reach logical conclusions.
- Understand and enforce policies and procedures.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and efficiency in managing multiple tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree with a focus on accounting.
- CPA, MBA, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare finance.
