The Nutrition Services Specialist plays a crucial role in developing a nutritionally balanced and cost-effective food service program tailored to meet the dietary needs of students while adhering to all relevant local nutrition regulations. This position leverages technical expertise and government-mandated nutritional standards to create effective menu implementation strategies. Collaboration with Food & Beverage Development and management teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designs menus in alignment with Aramark standards.
  • Conducts regular visits to school dining facilities.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of recipes, menu production, and food service management protocols.
  • Performs nutrient analysis for all food items offered.
  • Educates clients and consumers about healthy eating choices through training sessions and community outreach initiatives.
  • Facilitates training for new employees.
  • Collaborates with management and supervisors to ensure the delivery of high-quality food services.

Qualifications
  • Preferred prior experience in a relevant field.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with coursework recognized by the appropriate nutrition and dietetics agencies.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) Certification.
  • Must obtain and maintain relevant certifications, registrations, licenses, and continuing education as required by local accredited agencies.
  • Eligibility to practice dietetics in the applicable geographic area.
  • Ability to foster a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude towards clients, customers, and colleagues.
  • Capability to maintain a positive work ethic and inspire others.
