We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at St. Mary Medical Center. As a PRN Radiology Tech, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Follow established department protocols for procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Obtain and document patient history and relevant information in designated systems.
- Verify and follow doctor's written orders, ensuring accurate and timely completion of procedures.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images, adhering to positioning, technique, and image orientation standards.
- Respond effectively in emergency situations, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Adhere to infection control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Consult and communicate with other departments in a professional manner, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
- Plan delivery of care according to patient needs, taking into account injury or physical limitations.
- Operate medical imaging equipment safely and efficiently, conducting regular maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Replenish and change supplies in assigned areas, ensuring a well-stocked and organized workspace.
- Ensure equipment is in acceptable condition, conducting warm-up procedures and reporting malfunctions or problems to the appropriate authorities.
- Perform accurate procedures in the operating room, working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist radiologists in performing fluoroscopic procedures, providing support and expertise as needed.
- Perform quality bedside radiographs, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Accurately prepare and assist in the administration of contrast materials, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the department and the organization.
- ARRT registry (or must pass boards within 180 days of hire)
