POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are in search of a qualified Lead Radiologic Services Coordinator to become a vital part of our professional team. Reporting directly to the Director of Medical Services, the Lead Radiologic Services Coordinator will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage radiology and ultrasound services.
  • Perform various imaging procedures including mammography, radiology, DEXA, and body composition assessments.
  • Serve as the primary contact during inspections from regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Facilitate staff adherence to Continuing Medical Education requirements.
  • Adjust work schedules and delegate tasks to optimize patient flow.
  • Engage with patients and their families to resolve service-related concerns.
  • Evaluate radiographic reports to determine necessary follow-ups.
  • Develop and uphold a comprehensive policy and procedure manual for Radiology and Ultrasound.
  • Implement and monitor performance improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with billing processes for radiology and ultrasound services.
  • Supervise staff in the operation of imaging equipment and ensure the quality of images.
  • Provide training to radiology personnel on new technologies and procedures.
  • Enforce radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
  • Recommend personnel actions and oversee departmental budget management.
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders involved in the PACS system.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Work Environment

This position is situated in a Medical Outpatient Primary Care setting, utilizing standard medical office equipment such as computers, imaging systems, and other relevant medical devices.

Physical Requirements

This role involves sedentary work with physical demands that may include lifting files, standing, bending, and operating office equipment.

Position Type and Work Schedule

This is a full-time, onsite, Non-Exempt role. The typical schedule includes Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, with alternating Saturdays and a flexible schedule.
Travel Requirements: No travel is anticipated for this position.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Valid Radiologic Technologist license from the State of New York.
  • Active license/registration must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control and improvement in radiology.
  • A minimum of five years in a hospital or diagnostic radiology environment.
  • AART (M) and AART (R) certifications are mandatory.
  • Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound Program is required.
  • ARDMS certification is essential.
  • Experience with eCW - E-Clinical Works is necessary.
