Job Summary:

To provide high-quality diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, including clerical duties as required. To perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concepts and reflects the Kaiser Permanente Mission and philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing diagnostic radiological procedures, utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment, and adhering to department policies and procedures.
  • Image processing, understanding, and utilizing the current RIS and PACS system.
  • Working under the supervision of a radiologist on an as-needed basis, collaborating on film Quality Assurance, exam clarification, and performing ECGs as required.
  • Patient registration, patient scheduling, and restocking supplies/cleaning.
  • Participating in an on-call or standby schedule as required.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) or Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) required.
  • Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification required at hire from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience performing general radiographic exams using digital equipment within the last three years.
  • Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, and organizational relations.
  • Adaptability, following policies and procedures, flexibility, experience with McKesson PACS, and experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • Associates degree in Radiologic Science or a related field.
