Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Hillsboro Medical Center. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including cardio-endovascular catheterization laboratory procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiographic fluoroscopic equipment to perform general diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Assist physicians, radiologic technologists, cardiovascular technologists, and nurses in maintaining a customer-friendly environment in the laboratory.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly quality improvement and quality control activities.
  • Maintain and handle sterile equipment under principles of aseptic technique.
  • Set up, program, and run the IVUS machine under the direction of a physician.
  • Assist with the IABP setup and insertion under the direction of a physician.
  • Provide basic administrative reports from the database.
  • Maintain, archive, retrieve, locate, and copy present and prior studies done in the laboratory.
  • Troubleshoot routine radiologic and computer system problems and report as necessary.
  • Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Utilize feedback from customers to help make decisions regarding services and departmental activity.
  • Recognize and report normals and abnormals in patient physiology and hemodynamic parameters.
  • Assure a quality product by reviewing and correcting any documentation related to patient care during a procedure, charge submission, and statistical counts.
Requirements
  • At least one year of experience in digital and cine imaging and archiving.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Oregon State Board of Radiologic Technology licensure.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification within six months of hire date.

  • Bilingual skills.
