Registrar Support Specialist

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of student academic records. The Registrar Support Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the processing of transfer credits, maintaining the academic and technical accuracy of DegreeWorks and the Student Educational Planner, and performing various academic curricula functions.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and process transfer credits for the College of Business and Computing, ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
- Maintain the Banner catalog to ensure current equivalencies are up-to-date, and conduct presentations during orientation to inform students of transfer credit policies and procedures.
- Oversee DegreeWorks, the Student Educational Planner, and assist with other technical duties, including resolving student degree audit issues and processing degree exceptions.
- Perform various academic curricula functions, including maintaining GSW curriculum sheets and assisting with the update of the university bulletin.
- Assist faculty and staff in resolving transfer credit issues and perform a variety of related duties, including back-up for processing substitution forms and assisting with graduation audits and ceremonies.
- Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required.
- More than one year of related experience required.
- Knowledge of student records management principles, university graduation policies and processes, and Banner and DegreeWorks.
- Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs, decision making and problem solving, interpersonal relations, and oral and written communication.
