Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our retail pharmacy team. As a Pharmacist with Barnes Healthcare Services, you will play a critical role in supporting the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. You will collaborate with other divisions and departments to provide exceptional patient care and improved outcomes while achieving organizational goals and meeting key performance indicators.

Responsibilities
  • Model and hold others accountable to the Barnes culture and act as a coach and mentor for others in the organization.
  • Convey clear performance expectations, follow up consistently, and enforce individual accountability for the team.
  • Administer recurring or daily functions or processes necessary for patient care and identify opportunities for improvement or efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with prescribers and clinical staff to improve health outcomes and safety.
  • Provide timely quality care to our patients.
  • Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals and counseling patients on drug therapies.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
  • Operate in compliance with all governing bodies (GABOP, DEA, ADAP, etc.).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required. PharmD strongly preferred.
  • Active/Good Standing Pharmacist License in the appropriate state.
  • Two years of pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Active Immunizing Certificate preferred.
