Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents, ensuring adherence to dietary requirements.
2. Maintain cleanliness and organization of food service areas, including the kitchen and dining spaces.
3. Support the Director of Dining Services and culinary staff in managing inventory effectively.
4. Uphold a safe and sanitary work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
5. Ensure that all resident dietary needs are met and documented appropriately.
6. Keep accurate records of meals served and report any discrepancies to the Director of Dining Services.
7. Monitor and report any unusual resident behavior or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
8. Maintain a current cleaning schedule and uphold the highest standards of kitchen hygiene.
9. Assist in resident care duties as needed, particularly during peak times or staffing shortages.
10. Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
11. Keep logs for chemical usage, food temperatures, and other relevant data.
Qualifications:
Maintain all necessary certifications (e.g., ServSafe, Food Handler's Card, CPR/First Aid) in good standing.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Capability to bend, squat, and navigate stairs.
- Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods.
Health Precautions:
- Potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases.
