Reliability Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at M.C. Dean, Inc. in St. Louis, MO. As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies that maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Evaluate and improve preventive maintenance plans and procedures.
  • Collect and analyze data on equipment performance, failure rates, and maintenance costs.
  • Identify trends and patterns in equipment behavior to proactively address potential issues.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance tools and technologies to forecast equipment failures.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis investigations to identify the underlying causes of equipment failures and reliability issues.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 7-9 years' experience in Energy Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Civil, Systems, Construction Management, Business Management or relevant field of study.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis techniques and statistical methods.
  • Experience with reliability modeling and simulation software preferred.
  • Solid understanding of maintenance best practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, results-driven approach.
Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  • Finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
