Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Texas Institute for Surgery. As a Sterile Compounding Specialist, you will be responsible for compounding low and medium risk sterile preparations, troubleshooting pharmacy and nursing CPSI issues, and working in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Compounds low and medium risk sterile preparations
Troubleshoots pharmacy and nursing CPSI issues
Works in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements
Provides Medication safety presentation at Nursing Orientation as scheduled

Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor's of Science degree from an accredited school of pharmacy required
Possession of a valid Registered Pharmacist License to practice pharmacy in the State of Texas
Doctorate degree preferred
Possession of a Sterile Pharmaceutical Compounding Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

Acute care experience preferred
Excellent communication skills
Experience verifying physician's electronic medications orders
