Surface Preparation Specialist

At RENTECH Boiler Systems, we are seeking a skilled Surface Preparation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the surfaces of our equipment are properly prepared for painting and coating.

Key Responsibilities:

Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces using sandblasting techniques

Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation

Load and unload the blast cabinet, ensuring all materials are properly secured and accounted for

Assist with painting or coating as needed, working closely with our painting team to ensure a high-quality finish

Apply and remove non-skid materials as needed to ensure safe and efficient operation of our equipment

Requirements and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous experience with sandblasting or surface preparation techniques

Familiarity with power tools and equipment

Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, lifting, and bending for extended periods

Flexible schedule to accommodate changing production needs
