Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Piedmont HealthCare. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments and testing, providing patient education, and monitoring compliance with prescribed therapies related to pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timely completion of prescribed testing and/or therapies.
  • Deliver patient education and support to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records in the electronic medical record.
  • Perform routine calibration and maintenance of equipment.
  • Serve as a resource and provide guidance to other clinical staff members.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences.
  • Previous working experience in respiratory care or successful completion of department-specific orientation, including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level.
  • Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensure by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
