Biomedical Engineering Faculty Position

We are seeking a highly qualified individual for a tenure-track faculty position in biomedical engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong background in biomedical engineering and a demonstrated potential for outstanding research.
About the PositionThe Department of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering invites applications from highly qualified individuals for a tenure-track faculty position in biomedical engineering. We are seeking a faculty candidate for an assistant professor position.
Research OpportunitiesCandidates must possess an earned Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or a related discipline and demonstrate documented potential for outstanding research. Priority will be given to candidates who can integrate with the existing research programs and interact with current faculty members in the department. Examples of priority areas include cell-tissue-materials interactions, biomaterials, biomanufacturing, and medical applications.
Teaching and ServiceSuccessful candidates are expected to develop research programs that are internationally recognized with significant and sustained funding, incorporate interdisciplinary collaboration with researchers across campus, and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in education. Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and supervising undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers are expected.
