We are seeking dedicated and passionate Expanded Learning Program Instructors to lead academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our East Bay Expanded Learning Programs. As a Program Instructor, you will lead and mentor up to 20 youth in an afterschool setting, creating a safe and emotionally supportive environment that fosters learning and development.

Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain a safe and emotionally supportive environment
  • Create, plan, and execute lesson plans that support school day learning
  • Collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum)
  • Model Bay Area Community Resources Best Practices
Benefits
  • Pay rate: $21 per hour
  • Hours: 22 hours per week
  • Paid BACR holidays
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, afternoons until 6 p.m.; Off holidays, summers, and weekends

Requirements
  • Must have an (a) Associate Degree or higher, or (b) 48 or more college units, or (c) High School Diploma or GED and pass Instructional Aide exam
  • No experience required
  • Available Monday through Friday hours per week, afternoons until 6 pm
  • Ability to reliably commute to El Cerrito
  • Commitment to social justice and leadership
  • Passionate about learning and youth development: K-12
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
