About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Expanded Learning Program Instructor to join our team at Bay Area Community Resources in Richmond, CA. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in leading academic, physical, and enrichment activities for up to 20 youth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain the emotional well-being of the students.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Be a positive role model for struggling students.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that support school day learning.
  • Run community circles based on restorative practices.
  • Collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum).
  • Model Bay Area Community Resources' Best Practices.
Requirements
  • Must have an Associate Degree or higher, or 48 or more college units, or a High School Diploma or GED and pass the Instructional Aide exam.
  • Ability to reliably commute to Richmond.
  • Commitment to education equity and leadership.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Benefits

  • Hours per week: 22 hours, plus PD.
