About the Job
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducting thorough assessments, assisting with exams and treatment, and educating patients on their care.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care effectively, addressing the needs of patients with varied and complex conditions.
  • Utilize therapeutic communication to establish strong relationships with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring a collaborative approach to care.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by offering assistance and responding to requests for help, promoting a culture of awareness and support.
  • Implement staff education and training programs to enhance patient care and unit processes, coaching and mentoring colleagues as needed.
  • Develop and update patient care plans in partnership with patients, families, and the healthcare team, using the nursing process to ensure effective care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Two years of registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment.
  • RN-Temp - Registered Nurse - Temporary State Licensure within 60 days.
  • Other credentials and certifications as defined by unit/service line.
Skills and Competencies
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and colleagues in a customer-focused manner.
  • Ability to function independently and exercise judgment in interactions with physicians, the healthcare team, and patients and their families.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Outlook.
Travel Requirements
  • May require travel within the Houston Metropolitan area.
  • May require travel outside the Houston Metropolitan area.
