Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit exceptional tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
  • Prepare and position patients for examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Select and operate ultrasound equipment according to specifications, adjusting controls as needed to optimize diagnostic quality.
  • Start equipment, record diagnostic data, and monitor sound wave displays to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
  • Photograph images of internal organs, remove strip printouts, and maintain records of test results.
  • Key test data and patient information into computer systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Orient new hires and provide training and support as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in one or more disciplines, such as Abdomen, Ob-Gyn, or Pediatric Sonography.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
