Job Summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist Level II to join our team. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for producing high-quality ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation
  • Prepare and position patients for examination
  • Select equipment and transducers for use in ultrasound setup
  • Start equipment and record diagnostic data
  • Monitor sound wave display screens and adjust equipment controls as needed
  • Photograph images of organs and maintain records of test results

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 2 years of experience as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • NT certification for genetic screening (optional)
