Job Summary:

The Trauma Performance Improvement Registered Nurse plays a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of care for trauma patients at Jackson Health System. This position is responsible for coordinating performance improvement reviews, analyzing data, and implementing quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Trauma Program Manager in developing and implementing a quality plan that addresses patient safety and quality of care.
  • Collect and analyze performance improvement data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Trauma Program leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
  • Participate in Trauma Registry data collection and analysis to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of trauma team members.
  • Assist with preparing for the Florida Trauma Site Survey and other regulatory reviews.
  • Direct and assist with the Trauma Program Manager's duties in their absence or during scheduled time off/vacations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Florida RN license is required.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in a trauma setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
