Job SummaryThis is a union-based role represented by SEIU, where you will perform clinical laboratory testing in various areas, including blood bank, microbiology, serology, chemistry, hematology, and urinalysis. As a Lead Clinical Lab Scientist, you will provide work direction to CLS and non-licensed staff, maintain policies and procedures, and ensure efficient daily workflow within the laboratory.
Responsibilities- Perform clinical laboratory testing in accordance with regulatory and hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide work direction to CLS and non-licensed staff, including mentoring and leadership.
- Maintain policies and procedures, quality control practices, and efficient daily workflow within the laboratory.
- Float to all laboratory areas as needed.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related degree: Required
- Successful completion of an accredited laboratory training program: Required
- Meets the CLIA requirements for Technical Supervisor: Required
- CLS certification: Required
