Administrative Support Specialist

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia is seeking a Human Resources and Finance Generalist to join our team. The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
Job DescriptionThis role combines expertise in human resources and finance to support the organization's operations. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and analytical skills, with a unique blend of detail-oriented and organizational capabilities.
Responsibilities and Qualifications- Human Resources Functions:
- Employee Recruitment and Hiring: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Employee Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management.
- Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution: Serve as a point of contact for employees on HR-related matters, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance on company policies and procedures.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and maintain employee files and records.
- Finance Functions:
- Payroll Management: Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Monitor and report on grant funding allocations, ensuring compliance with grant guidelines and regulations.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in dual HR/finance role or in separate HR and finance positions.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in HR and accounting software.
