Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Banner Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our clinicians in delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clinicians with exams and minor in-office procedures, including taking vital signs, documenting patient information, and performing phlebotomies.
- Coordinate and manage patient care, including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions, and scheduling of patients for clinic, hospital, and other ancillary medical treatments and tests.
- Provide clerical support with patient/client notifications and documentation, including complete medical records and billing-related information.
- Maintain a clean, functional environment, including cleaning and disinfection of equipment, exam rooms, and storage areas.
- Order supplies as directed and stock patient care areas.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
- Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
- Active Medical Assistant Certification, such as Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
- BLS certification required.
