Job Summary
The Staffing Texas company is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll for over 1,500 employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration.

This position involves preparing and auditing employee records to ensure accurate payment of wages for 1,500+ hourly and salaried employees in multiple states on a bi-weekly basis. The Payroll Specialist will update and maintain employee records within software for taxes, earnings, and deductions, print and distribute payroll checks and direct deposit advices, and assist with assurance of compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

In addition, the Payroll Specialist will research and respond to internal and external inquiries regarding employee records, analyze and test system modifications related to payroll processes, reconcile payroll deductions and bank accounts to the corresponding general ledger accounts and create necessary journal entries, collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing, and ensure adherence to internal controls and provide necessary documentation to internal and external auditors.

The salary range for this position is $27-$30 per hour depending on experience. This role requires associates degree and 3+ years of experience in payroll administration, strong verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, highly organized, detail-oriented team player with ability to analyze and solve problems, able to work under pressure with strict deadlines, proficient in Excel, and PeopleSoft experience. ADP Experience is a must.
