The Role

The Unit Services Representative plays a critical role in facilitating positive guest relations with patients, family members, visitors, and physicians. This includes welcoming and explaining hospital and unit policies and procedures, addressing problems and concerns, and performing clerical support for the unit and Nurse Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet patients, family members, and visitors, providing a positive first impression of the hospital
  • Explain hospital and unit policies and procedures to patients and families
  • Address problems and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Perform clerical support for the unit, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient care
