Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Disaster Recovery Specialist to join our team at ServiceMaster. As a key member of our restoration team, you will be responsible for providing emergency and disaster recovery services to residential and commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform water, fire, and smoke restoration, mold remediation, and cleaning services as directed by the Crew Chief/Manager.
  • Set up and remove air movers and/or dehumidifiers, and monitor water losses.
  • Ensure equipment, supplies, and tools are properly handled, maintained, and stored.
  • Take inventory of personal property received, cleaned, and returned to customer sites.
  • Provide excellent customer service, meeting and exceeding customer expectations and completing projects on time.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, management, and owners, and escalate unresolved customer issues or property damage to supervisors for resolution.
  • Volunteer for duties to assist co-workers in completing projects, and treat all employees with respect.
  • Process timecards, Daily Time Logs, and other job-related reports accurately and on-time.
  • Represent ServiceMaster in a professional manner and appearance, and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of water and fire restoration, mold remediation, and carpet and general cleaning techniques and procedures.
  • Certifications in these areas are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of Excel to enter inventory data.
  • Ability to sketch physical spaces, take measurements, and calculate billable charges.
  • Dependable and flexible to meet scheduling needs and respond to emergency/disaster services outside of normal business hours.
Physical Demands

This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to:

  • Lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds.
  • Stand at heights of 12 feet on ladders or scaffolding.
  • Climb stairs.
  • Stand on concrete surfaces throughout the day.
