Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate Project Conditions: Analyze project environments by assessing the nature of work and the operational processes of the client, including the equipment and materials involved.
  • Hazard Identification and Management: Collect critical data to pinpoint potential risks and impacts associated with existing hazards in project operations. Formulate strategies and recommendations for the elimination or mitigation of these risks.
  • Safety Plan Development: Create, assess, and interpret Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), and safety execution plans to ensure compliance with safety regulations during subcontractor selection.
  • Safety Process Oversight: Supervise the safety protocols during pre-construction and bidding phases to guarantee the integration of safety measures from the outset.
  • Safety Procedure Management: Formulate, revise, and disseminate safety procedures to promote a safe and healthy work environment, aiming to avert potential hazards.
  • Training Program Development: Design, prepare, and conduct safety training initiatives, including specialized sessions, re-certifications, new employee orientations, and procedural training. Evaluate the effectiveness of these programs and maintain accurate training records.
  • Compliance Evaluation: Review and report on compliance issues within the current HCSS program, providing actionable solutions for enhancement.
  • Professional Development: Participate in training opportunities to continuously enhance professional skills and remain informed about the latest safety practices.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction safety.
  • Possession of CHSO, CHST certification, or a bachelor's degree in safety.
  • Experience in airport construction is preferred.
  • Proven experience in Heavy Civil construction is required.
