Position Overview

The Regional Family Nurse Practitioner plays a crucial role in delivering patient care within the defined scope of practice in a clinical environment. This position is part of the Elevance Health family of companies, which has a rich history of over 20 years in providing essential infusible and injectable drug therapies through specialty pharmacies and infusion centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administers prescribed therapies in accordance with facility protocols and company policies.
  • Completes the admission process as directed by the Center Director.
  • Conducts physical assessments for patients as necessary, particularly for new consultations.
  • Collaborates with the on-duty Nurse Practitioner for comprehensive physical assessments.
  • Documents all relevant patient information in the medical records accurately.
  • Communicates significant changes or observations to the Center Director and follows up on identified issues.
  • Maintains effective communication with the IV team regarding patient status.
  • Ensures patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Evaluates patient responses to therapies and documents findings appropriately.
  • Educates patients and their families about the therapy plans.
  • Participates in the Quality Improvement program to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensures all medication orders are complete and current before treatment.
  • Engages in the On-Call program, which may involve after-hours and weekend responsibilities.
  • Provides clinical coverage for Nurse Practitioners on leave and supports new market initiatives.
  • May require extensive travel to various worksites as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing with a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Experience with intravenous therapies is mandatory.
  • Must possess an active and valid Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.
  • Multi-state licensure is essential for providing services across various states.
  • Completion of a Tuberculosis test and Hepatitis B vaccination or signed waiver is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in infusion therapy is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within the Atlanta Metroplex and surrounding states as needed.
  • Ability to cover multiple sites across four states, including Ohio.
  • Capability to perform duties across various centers in a regional capacity.
  • Requirement for maintaining multi-state clinical licensure.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time within the designated region.
