The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized speech and language plans to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students.

Responsibilities:

* Evaluate and diagnose communication disorders in accordance with state and federal special education guidelines.
* Monitor student progress and make informed, timely educational decisions.
* Participate in evaluation conferences and develop students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
* Provide therapy, follow-up, and/or consultation based on student IEPs.
* Implement individual education plans for assigned students.
* Cooperate with teachers and parents by providing information, discussing appropriate goals, and offering assistance.
* Monitor and conduct ongoing evaluation of student progress.
* Participate in parent conferences to review students' progress.
* Conduct conferences when additional changes or discontinuance of a special program is indicated.
* Cooperate in the district's inservice training program.
* Maintain special education due process/work files.
* Provide appropriate speech language services across grade levels.
* Document progress of students and maintain information needed for Medicaid billing.
* Ensure that all activities conform to district guidelines.
* Maintain Progress Notes and Annual Performance in preparation for advancement from grade-to-grade.
* Maintain compliance and due process.
* Create appropriate goals and objectives to address speech language.
* Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services.

Requirements:

* Masters Degree in Speech and Language Pathology
* Valid Arkansas license in Speech and Language Pathology
* Certificate of Clinical Competence
* Minimum 3 year work experience preferred
* Experience with Medicaid billing preferred
* Experience in a public education setting preferred
