Job Title: Speech Therapist

University of Arkansas System is seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and adhering to department/insurance/state licensing board/Joint Commission standards.

Job Summary:

The Speech Therapist will provide inpatient and/or outpatient speech language pathology specific services, including diagnostic and clinical assessments, screening, development of treatment plans, and education to patients/caregivers/staff. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, Arkansas license, and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence or be eligible pending completion of Clinical Fellowship Year.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs comprehensive examination of patients using appropriate tests/measures, completes the evaluation, and formulates an individualized plan of care.
  • Provides evidence-based quality patient treatment and education and monitors patient for physiological status during sessions.
  • Completes accurate and thorough documentation in a timely manner following regulatory policies.
  • Submits accurate and complete charges and daily summary sheets.
  • Consistently meets departmental productivity target.
  • Responsive to needs/requests outside of direct patient care.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Arkansas license and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence or be eligible pending completion of Clinical Fellowship Year.
  • BLS certification (must obtain certification within 30 days of starting this role).
