Job Summary: Hobart Bostrom Co Inc is seeking a skilled Robotic Welder to join our team in ensuring the highest quality standards in our manufacturing process. As a Robotic Welder, you will play a critical role in joining metal components using CNC robots and MIG techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC robots and MIG welding equipment to join metal components, adhering to blueprints and quality standards.
  • Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures, ensuring accurate alignment and fit.
  • Monitor and adjust welding parameters, such as amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse, to achieve optimal weld quality.
  • Measure dimensions using precision instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators, to ensure weld acceptability.
  • Visually inspect and measure welds using weld gauges to determine acceptability based on specified tolerances.
  • Select and use the correct torch, torch tip, and filler rod, as specified in Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS).
  • Perform tasks such as trimming, sanding, and drilling parts, and deburring products as required.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
  • Document actions, irregularities, and continuing needs by accurately completing production and quality logs.
  • Assist engineering in creating, implementing, and maintaining Weld Procedure Specifications defining process, setup, and operation.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of production welding experience or welding certification from an accredited technical school.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift certification.
  • 1 year of robotic welding/programming experience.
