The VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Hygienist to join our team. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and patients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct workplace assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Develop and implement industrial hygiene policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and education to employees on industrial hygiene practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to occupational health and safety.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain records of industrial hygiene activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in industrial hygiene or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of industrial hygiene principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in industrial hygiene or a related field.
- Experience with industrial hygiene software and equipment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to industrial hygiene.
