Arcetyp LLC is a growing small business that provides a broad range of consulting services to US Federal Government, US Military, and Commercial clients.

We are recruiting to fill a position to lead business development activities for a small government contracting firm focused on IT Services and Cyber Security for clients in Civil and DoD markets.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Contractor personnel shall perform a full range of dental assistant duties consistent with their education, training, experience, clinical privileges (as applicable), and assigned position.
  2. Maintain a level of productivity comparable with that of other individuals performing similar services.
  3. Comply with the standards of the Joint Commission, applicable provisions of law, and the rules and regulations of any and all governmental authorities pertaining to licensure and regulation of health care personnel and medical treatment facilities, the regulations and standards of medical practice and the MTF's medical staff bylaws.
  4. Adhere to and comply with the Department of the Navy, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, and local instructions and notices in effect during the term of the contract.
  5. Participate in peer review and performance improvement activities.
  6. Practice aseptic techniques as necessary; comply with infection control guidelines to include the proper handling, storage, and disposal of infectious wastes, and the use of universal precautions to prevent the spread of infection.
  7. Perform efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events.
  8. Anticipate potential problems/emergencies and make appropriate interventions.
  9. Notify supervisor, director, or other designated person regarding problems that the HCW is unable to manage.
  10. Apply an awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care and strive to manage situations in a reduced risk manner.
  11. Exercise awareness and sensitivity to patient/significant others' rights, as identified within the MTF.
  12. Maintain an awareness of responsibility and accountability for own professional practice.
  13. Function with an awareness and application of safety procedures.
  14. Participate in continuing education to meet own professional growth.
  15. Attend and/or comply with all annual training classes required by the Command, to include but not limited to online annual training provided by the MTF, disaster training, infection control, Sexual Harassment, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire and Safety, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE), and all other required training.
  16. Actively participate in the command's Performance Improvement Program.
  17. Participate in meetings to review and evaluate the care provided to patients, identify opportunities to improve the care delivered, and recommend corrective action when problems exist.
  18. Assist in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members as directed by Government supervisor.
  19. Attend and participate in various meetings as directed by government supervisor.
  20. Perform timely, accurate, and concise documentation of patient care.
  21. Operate and manipulate automated systems such as CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris, and Clinical Information System (CIS), participate in clinical staff Performance Improvement (PI) and Risk Management (RM) functions, as prescribed by the Commander.
  22. Maintain DoD email account as directed by government supervisor.
  23. The HCW shall be responsive to all email and voicemail communications.
  24. Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with clinic directives and prepare such records and reports as may be required.
  25. All records and reports must be legible.
  26. Abbreviations must be only those listed in local instructions.
  27. The HCW shall comply with the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) privacy and security policies of the treatment facility.
  28. Providers shall obtain/maintain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) in accordance with DOD and MTF policy/instruction, as applicable.
  29. The HCW shall perform a full range of dental assistant duties, within the scope of this statement of work, on site using government furnished supplies, facilities and equipment within the assigned unit of the Dental Treatment Facility.
  30. Shall aid in the provision of mandated dental surveillance, preventive services and assist in ensuring the quality and timeliness of treatment records and reports required to document procedures performed and care provided.
  31. Shall refer patients who present with a complaint to staff dentists for evaluation and continuation of care and attend multidisciplinary treatment team meetings on behalf of the dental officers.
  32. The work environment involves risks typically associated with the performance of clinical oral procedures.
  33. May be exposed to contagious disease, infections and flying dental debris requiring that the HCW wear protection such as sterile gloves, masks and eyeglasses.
  34. Provide training and/or direction to supporting government employees (technicians, corpsmen, students, etc.) assigned to the HCW during the performance of clinical procedures.
  35. Shall participate in clinical/staff quality assurance functions at the prerogative of the Commanding Officer.
  36. Participate in monthly meetings to review and evaluate the care provided to patients, identify opportunities to improve the care delivered, and recommend corrective action when problems exist.
  37. Participate in the provision of monthly in-service training to non-healthcare-practitioner members of the clinical and administrative staff on subjects germane to dental care.
  38. Attend and/or comply with renewal of the following Annual Training Requirements provided by the MTF:
  • Disaster training, infection control, Sexual Harassment, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE), and all other required training.
  • Operate and manipulate automated systems such as CDS, participate in clinical staff Performance Improvement (PI) and Risk Management (RM) functions, as prescribed by the Commanding Officer.
  • Maintain DoD email account as directed and are responsible for all email and voicemail communications.
  • Participate in the implementation of the facility's Family Advocacy Program as directed.
  • Shall perform administrative functions such as serving on boards and committees and attending or providing continuing dental education.
  • Perform administrative duties, which include maintaining statistical records of your clinical workload, participating in dental education programs, preparing documentation for boards, and participating in clinical/staff quality assurance functions at the prerogative of the Commanding Officer.
  • Attend Composite Health Care System/Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (CHCS/AHLTA), training provided by the Government for a minimum of four (4) hours, and up to a maximum of 24 hours.
  • Attend annual training classes required by this command, to include Basic Life Support Level C (BLS-C) Certification.
  • Productivity is expected to be comparable to that of other dental assistants assigned to the same facility and authorized same scope of practice.
  • Primary workload is a result of appointments scheduled through the MTF's central appointment system. Secondary workload is a result of consultation requests submitted to the specialty clinic by staff dentists.
  • Responsible for delivery of treatment within the personnel and equipment capabilities of the MTF, provision of mandated surveillance and preventive services, and the quality and timeliness of treatment records and reports required to document procedures performed and care provided.
  • Responsible for a full range of dental assisting procedures in support of dental officer examinations and delivery of treatment under the “four handed dentistry”, format within personnel and equipment capabilities and limitations of the MTF.
  • Patient referrals
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing patients.
  • Provide for the examination, treatment, and disposition of patients compatible with the Dental Treatment Facility's operating capacity and equipment.
  • Coordinate with dentists, hygienists, treatment coordinators, other dental assistants and health care departments, and clinic staff to ensure efficiencies and complete patient care, including working with patients not scheduled with the dentist.
  • Maintain patient records in accordance with JCAHO and DTF requirements.
  • Collect and record medical, dental history, and patient vital signs. Control medication, syringes and other dental supplies or equipment; inventory as required by established procedures.
  • Perform regulated non-surgical tasks, such as, coronal polishing, sealant application, fluoride application, and topical anesthetic application as needed.
  • Maintain operatory space to meet the clinic's cleanliness and infection control standard will assist in the data entry of statistical and narrative data in the clinic database, and the Corporate Dental System (CDS) for the clinic, track dental readiness statistics for Customer Commands and prepare reports for Higher Headquarters and Customer Commands.Qualifications

Experience with using digital dental technology, electronic medical records, and knowledge of dental terminology.

Perform aerosol-generating procedures in a high-risk environment and shall be able to be certified to wear an N-95 respirator of a brand commonly available to the enterprise.

Possess basic computer skills competency.

Minimum Qualifications

Have either (a) certificate or degree in Dental Assisting from a School of Dental Assistants approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA), or (b) Graduate from a State accredited program for Dental Assistants/Technicians, or (c) obtained a certification from a Red Cross Dental Assistant course.

Certification from a military dental technician or dental assistant “A” school for at least 12 months experience within the preceding 60 months OR Certification from a Red Cross Dental Assistant course and 12 months experience within the preceding 60 months, or 36 months experience as a dental assistant in a private practice or military dental clinic within the preceding 60 months, or Membership in good standing with the American Association of Dental Assistants with required continuing education and 12 months experience within the preceding 60 months, or Graduated from a state accredited program for dental assistants or dental technology within the preceding 12 months.

Provide two letters of recommendation written within the preceding two years from a manager, director, or direct supervisor of a Dental Assistant attesting to the candidate's applicable clinical skills.

Letters shall attest to the candidate's communication skills, ability to relate to patients as well as professional and other inter-personal skills among staff members.

Candidate's must include name, title, phone number, date of reference, address and signature of the individual providing the recommendation.
