Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Cycle Education Coordinator to join our team at St. Mary's Healthcare Amsterdam. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement training programs that enhance the skills of our patient access associates, ultimately improving the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and standardize onboarding training materials for new patient access associates, ensuring a seamless transition into their roles.
  • Participate in the onboarding departmental orientation process, providing a comprehensive introduction to our team and policies.
  • Design and deliver continuous learning and training sessions for current staff, focusing on denial trends by service line and insurance.
  • Assist in staff education regarding the use of Patient Access tools, promoting efficient workflows and exceptional patient experiences.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Develop and recommend departmental performance improvements, driving excellence in patient access operations.
  • Assist with the supervision and coordination of daily activities in the Patient Access department, promoting a positive and effective patient experience.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews to identify training needs, ensuring our team members have the skills and knowledge required to excel.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Associate Degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years' registration experience in a hospital or physician practice, with experience in developing training materials and teaching in a professional environment.
  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification within two years of hire.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
  • Knowledge of departmental policies and State and Federal regulations (EMTALA).
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, using critical thinking skills to drive results.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient experiences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Language

This role requires proficiency in English, with the ability to speak, read, write, and follow instructions in the language.
