Role Overview
As a Senior Equipment Mechanic, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the standards of quality and product knowledge within the branch. Your expertise will not only enhance fleet maintenance operations but also serve as a guiding force for junior mechanics.

Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain a consistent schedule for preventative maintenance of all company-owned fleet.
2. Operate and test equipment to ensure compliance with quality and efficiency standards.
3. Independently perform routine maintenance and repairs on all fleet equipment and vehicles.
4. Diagnose issues in internal combustion engines, DC electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and fuel systems.
5. Conduct major repairs using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments.
6. Execute oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements, and other services.
7. Assist in customer damage estimates and repairs as needed.
8. Manage work orders and part ordering through the fleet management system.
9. Recondition and replace various parts of heavy equipment.
10. Identify significant wear or tear on equipment and address issues promptly.
11. Take service calls in the absence of the shop lead and coordinate with Field Service Mechanics for timely repairs.
12. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
13. Produce detailed service reports and repair logs.
14. Mentor junior mechanics while following the guidance of the shop lead.
15. Adhere to all company procedures and protocols.
16. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Ability to interpret detailed technical schematics and manuals.
- Ownership of a comprehensive set of hand and air/electric tools for repairs.
- Proficiency in operating and testing various equipment, including boom lifts and forklifts.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Skills
- Capability to operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
- Strong follow-up skills with customers.
- Safe handling of assorted tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer operations for work order management.
- Effective time management and teamwork skills.

Compensation
Hourly rate ranges from $27 to $31, subject to the company's discretion based on qualifications and experience.
