Position Overview: As a Compassionate Caregiver at Heavenly Comfort AFC, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals who require assistance with their daily routines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with essential personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide fundamental healthcare services, such as monitoring vital signs and reminding clients about their medications.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe living environment.
  • Facilitate transportation for clients to various appointments and outings.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and social well-being.
  • Follow care plans as outlined by healthcare professionals and report any significant changes in clients' conditions.
  • Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as needed.
  • Respect clients' rights and maintain confidentiality regarding personal information.
  • Document care provided and any changes observed in clients' conditions or behaviors.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare team members.
  • Manage emergency situations competently, including administering basic first aid and CPR when necessary.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education programs to enhance professional skills.
  • Adhere to all relevant laws, policies, and ethical standards.
  • Provide compassionate end-of-life care, offering emotional support to clients and their families.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in CPR and first aid.
  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Physical capability to perform caregiving tasks and assist with mobility.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care.
  • Basic understanding of hygiene and healthcare practices.
  • Flexibility with work hours, including evenings, overnight, and weekends.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Familiarity with documenting and reporting client care information.
