Job Summary

Axient is seeking a Part-Time Senior Radar Engineer/Scientist to support Sensor Systems Engineering and Technical Support (SSETS) for Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) B Department.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide expertise in sensor systems across the entire acquisition life-cycle, from concept exploration to sustainment of Navy and Marine Corps Radar Systems.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must be a US Citizen and have a Secret clearance.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics, is required.

A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field is preferred.

The candidate must have at least 15 years of experience in general sensor engineering, with a minimum of 12 years of experience in specialized areas such as radio frequency hardware design, antenna engineering, and signal processing.

Technical Skills

The successful candidate will have expertise in:

  • Radio frequency hardware design and/or fabrication
  • Antenna engineering
  • Signal processing and Electronic Protection (Counter-Counter Measures)

Communication and Collaboration

The candidate must be able to communicate complex technical information effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
