Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management
    • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
    • Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or risks.
  • Site Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of water/wastewater projects, including site inspections, quality control, and safety management.
    • Ensure that all projects are completed in accordance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
    • Manage and coordinate with trade partners, consultants, and vendors.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and motivate a team of engineers, technicians, and other support staff to achieve project goals and objectives.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
    • Ensure that all team members are aware of and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in water/wastewater project management or a related field.
    • Proven track record of successful project delivery, including experience with HarperGC.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong project management skills, including experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience with stakeholder management and team leadership.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with conflict resolution and issue management.
    • OSHA 30 certification and a strong safety culture.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of conditions relative to construction jobsite environments and must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, as assigned. Weather and climate conditions will vary throughout the progress of a project and the superintendent must be able to inspect all ongoing construction activities over the duration of the assigned project.

This role requires walking over varied terrain, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting. Lifting requirements vary from minimal loads to heavy; but help is always available with heavier loads. Inspection for quality, consistency and completeness of work frequently requires climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.

Driving a company-owned vehicle is required to perform the duties of a Superintendent. The Superintendent is required to have a valid state-issued license, a satisfactory motor vehicle record, safe driving behavior, and must adhere to our Driving and Truck Policy.

Travel Requirements

Travel to/from multiple jobsites, projects, and offices. Little overnight or weekend travel.
