About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Staff for Special Needs Students to join our team at ESS Education. As a Paraprofessional Substitute Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to students with special needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Instructional Reinforcement: Assist students with special needs in understanding and completing academic tasks, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Classroom Management and Supervision: Assist the classroom teacher with managing the classroom, supervising students, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as setting up equipment, preparing materials, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Student Supervision: Supervise students during activities such as recess, lunch, and field trips, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Student Support: Provide emotional, physical, and academic support to students with special needs, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 Plans.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
  • Criminal History Clearance: A clear criminal history is required for this position.
