Position Overview

The University of Iowa's Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders invites applications for a 12-month, full-time clinical faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor to begin sometime during the spring 2025 semester.

Primary responsibilities include clinical teaching of graduate students in clinical practice, program development, participation in service and professional development activities, and knowledge dissemination and scholarship in areas of expertise.

Apart from direct patient care, you will be expected to teach clinical courses, supervise students, develop clinical programs, and engage in research. If appointed at the associate level, you will also participate in departmental administrative duties.

We seek candidates with interest and experience in clinical education, program development, and community and professional engagement. The Wendell Johnson Speech & Hearing Clinic is a thriving clinic within the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, maintaining active collaborations with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and other area service providers.
