Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate degree in nursing
  • Two years of post-licensure experience as a nurse
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or a multistate licensure privilege to practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders
  • Case management experience
  • Experience providing nursing care in the community

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate with consumers and families with special needs in the areas of mental health, intellectual disability, and substance use disorder
  • Ability to physically organize, sort, store, deliver medications, and administer injections

Selection Procedure:

  • Panel interview and may include a practical exercise
