About the Role

Boulder Community Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Special Care Nursery team. As a Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and their families' biopsychosocial and spiritual needs to develop individualized care plans.
  • Develop and prioritize care plans in collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Utilize available resources to ensure completion of interventions and patient education.
  • Provide high-quality care to labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patients, as well as mother-baby and well newborns.
  • Transitional care of newborns and care of high-risk newborns in the Special Care Nursery.
  • Delegate tasks and functions to competent caregivers.
  • Evaluate and revise patient care plans based on feedback from patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements
  • Colorado RN license in good standing.
  • BLS certification required by end of conditional period.
  • NRP certification required by end of conditional period.
  • 1 year RN clinical nursing experience in intensive care nursery, perinatal ICU, or pediatric emergency department.
