Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Shift Supervisor to join our team at the Youth Crisis Center Inc. As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, while also providing guidance and support to our residential staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential unit during assigned shifts, ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including timesheets, NETMIS, JJIS, and Census collection of data.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures, as well as YCC, DJJ, and DCF standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to residential staff, including training and coaching on quality and quantity standards.
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections, emergency drills, and client groups.
  • Collaborate with the Residential Manager to ensure adequate staffing and coverage during operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from a college or university and at least 2 years of experience in working with youth, or 2 years of college and 4 years of experience in working with youth, or high school diploma and 6 years of working with youth.
  • 2 years of leadership/supervisory experience.
  • A valid Florida driver's license and safe driving record.
Working Conditions

This position requires walking, interacting, monitoring, and engaging youth in various positive activities, as well as diffusing challenging situations. Little to moderate lifting of less than 25 lbs. may be required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
