Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Health & Wellness Program Representative to join our team at the Scantic Valley YMCA. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting members and guests in achieving their health and wellness goals.

About the Role:

  • This position is responsible for providing a positive and enjoyable workout experience for members.
  • You will welcome, assist, and interact with members, promoting Y programs and services.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring a clean and safe facility.
  • Pursue self-development opportunities to enhance job performance and deliver a high-value experience for members.

Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome and interact with members, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  2. Stay informed about Y programs and services, promoting them to members and guests.
  3. Maintain a safe and clean facility, reporting any maintenance issues or incidents to the coordinator or director.
  4. Administer first aid and respond to emergencies according to Branch Emergency Medical Response Procedures.
  5. Demonstrate teamwork and organization by communicating problems or constructive criticism to the Health & Wellness Coordinator and/or Director.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills essential.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required within three months of hire.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and demonstrate core YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Estimated Salary: $38,500 - $43,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
