Pharmacy Technician

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service. You will work closely with our pharmacists to assist with prescription filling, patient counseling, and other pharmacy-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists with prescription filling, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs
• Verify medication accuracy and check for potential interactions
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
• Operate pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals
• Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on industry developments

Requirements:

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens
• Prefer good math skills and computer skills
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB certification
