Job Title: CT Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Thornton, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented CT Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) scanners. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for CT procedures, including explaining the procedure, positioning the patient, and administering contrast media as needed.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions or complications.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Current certification in computed tomography (CT) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • 1 year of experience in radiology or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Working Conditions:

The CT Technologist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to radiation. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for extended periods.
